Kendriya Vidyalaya, RAU, Pusa is situated in the campus of Rajendra Agriculture University. Several other premier institutions of agriculture research are located here. Pusa is a remote locality away from the major cities. A number of employees of the central government and the University live in the campus and not many options for proper education of their children were available here. So, need for a Kendriya Vidyalaya was felt. Consequently, in February 1989, Kendriya Vidyalaya was founded here in a building provided by the University. The Rajendra Agriculture University is the sponsoring agency of this school. This is a civil sector school. This building was a temporary place for the school campus provided by the sponsoring agency,
Gradual Year wise expension in classes and section leading to present status
On the 26th December 2003 the school was shifted to the newly bulit school buliding constructed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. When the Vidyalaya is stated the Vidyalaya was single section upto VI. The first batch of class X was out in 1994. The Vidyalaya remained up to class X single section upto the year 1998. The first batch of class XII produced its results in 2001.
The Vidyalaya stared in 1989 in a old building(Know as Lal Kothi) provided by the RAU PUSA. The Vidyalaya came into existence in RAU Campue PUSA by the efforts of then VC ,RAU,PUSA Gopaljee Trivedi and the contemporary HRD minister Sh L P Sahi.
Facilities
The Vidyalaya is functioning in its own building(Single Section) there are 11 units of quarters and own pump house for water supply are available. 10 units of new quarters are going to be started very soon under CPWD.
The school building houses all modern facilities that a Modern Educational System requires. The school has fully furnished science labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics,Computer Lab with 25 computers with LAN Facilites. There is a computer lab, which has 25 computers with Internet facility. There is a big library with adequate number of books on different subjects and languages with a spacious reading room.
The plan and estimate for the sports infrastructure development have been sent to Regional office for consideration and action. The land available behind the Vidyalaya is low which is required to be developed for sports and infrastructure,
